About the Author
Albert Woodfox was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1947. He was wrongly convicted of murder in 1972 and spent 43 years in solitary confinement in Angola Prison. In 2016, his conviction was overturned and he was released from prison. Woodfox is now a free man and continues to fight for justice for the wrongfully convicted.
